{"id":2210,"date":"2026-04-11T20:38:28","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T00:38:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsouthconference.com\/baseball\/?p=2210"},"modified":"2026-04-11T21:03:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-12T01:03:15","slug":"macu-bats-lead-way-over-bucks-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsouthconference.com\/baseball\/2026\/04\/11\/macu-bats-lead-way-over-bucks-county\/","title":{"rendered":"MACU Bats Lead Way over Bucks County"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.<\/strong> &#8211; The Mid-Atlantic Christian offense was on display Saturday as the Mustangs took a pair from visiting Bucks County Community College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Titus Bleckley\u00a0collected four hits in five at bats in the 17-12 game one win.\u00a0Bleckley\u00a0doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the third inning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bucks got on the board in the top of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead, but MACU tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by\u00a0Nolan Colwell, a ground out by\u00a0Landen Miller, and a single by\u00a0Adam Bailey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Centurions jumped back into the lead in the top of the second inning with three runs. The Mustangs then flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 9-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by\u00a0Jayhlen Brown\u00a0that drove in two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BCCC retook the lead 12-11, but MACU took control in their half of the sixth, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead for good, 17-12. Brian Sanchez\u00a0singled on a full count to drive in two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colin Langley allowing one hit and no runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In game two of the doubleheader, Landen Miller\u00a0drove in four runs on two hits to lead\u00a0MACU to a 15-2 victory. Miller\u00a0doubled in the second and third innings, scoring two runs each time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mid-Atlantic\u00a0jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after\u00a0Sanchez\u00a0tripled, scoring three runs, and\u00a0Julius Burke\u00a0singled, scoring one run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A double by\u00a0Miller, a ground out by\u00a0Bailey, and an error helped\u00a0the Mustangs\u00a0extend their early lead in the second, stretch it further with seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. RJ\u00a0Cabrera\u00a0singled, scoring two runs,\u00a0Miller\u00a0doubled, scoring two runs,\u00a0Bailey\u00a0doubled, scoring two runs, and\u00a0Sanchez\u00a0hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrew Mullis\u00a0led things off on the mound for\u00a0MACU.
