NSAC Unveils New Logo

Today, the New South Athletic Conference revealed its new logo as the league launches into its fourth season.

“The time was right for a fresh look,” said commissioner Mike Davis. “As the NSAC expands into new markets and sports, we wanted a bold new identifier that would be immediately recognizable and unique.”

The conference recently announced the addition of Lighthouse Christian College of Florida as a new member and is in talks with other possible new additions as well.

The new design, incorporating a blue ring surrounding a 3-D effect “NSAC,” has already met with approval.

“Our board liked it right away,” Davis commented. “I think it puts the look of the New South brand on a par with conferences much larger than our own. We believe this logo will carry us into the future and all the possibilities that holds.”

Lighthouse Christian College Joins NSAC for ’23-24

The New South Athletic Conference expanded its membership and its footprint in a big way by accepting Lighthouse Christian College of Gulf Breeze, Florida as a full member effective immediately.

Wayne Albury, longtime athletic director at NAIA-member Peru State in Nebraska, has accepted the same position at LCC. “We are excited to join the New South Conference and compete for recognition both athletically and academically,” said Albury.

“This is a big step for the New South,” said NSAC commissioner Mike Davis. “By growing our footprint into Florida, we are planning for the future of the conference. Our current member schools are united in their support of bringing Lighthouse into the fold and building a solid foundation for the future. Lighthouse has strong leadership with a solid educational pedigree in the Florida Panhandle. The Makos will certainly make a splash right away.”

LCC will participate in men’s basketball and baseball beginning this fall.
