Lighthouse Takes NSAC Golf Championship

PENSACOLA, Fl. – Lighthouse Christian College got impressive performances throughout its lineup to pull away from the field and claim the 2026 New South Athletic Conference Golf Championship.

Playing on its home Osceola Golf Course, the Makos shot -4 during Tuesday’s second round to post an even-par 460 for the tournament. LCC was led by junior Ty Posey, who carded a 5-under 65 on Tuesday to take the medalist honors at 136.

Apprentice was nipping at Lighthouse’s heels on Monday, led by Chris Ivey’s school record round of 65. The Builders trailed the Makos by just 10 shots after round one but were able to put distance between themselves and the contenders on Tuesday by shooting 4-under as a team.

NSAC Golf Championship Coming to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The inaugural New South Athletic Conference golf championship will be held September 28-30, 2025 at The Divide Golf Club. Barber-Scotia College is the host school.

Teams from The Apprentice School, Beacon College, and Mid-Atlantic Christian University will compete in the 36-hole event. There will be a practice round on Sunday, October 28 with tournament play beginning Monday morning, October 29.

Opened in 1995 and located about 20 minutes southeast of Charlotte, The Divide Golf Club features a traditional 18-hole golf course design by John Cassell II. The club’s name, The Divide, derives from the fact that it stretches across both Mecklenburg and Union Counties.
