DBCU Names Williams as Seraphim AD

LOUISBURG, N.C. – On Tuesday, Daytona Beach Christian University released the following statement:

“Daytona Beach Christian University is proud to introduce Joel Williams as Vice President of Athletics. He is here to build, raise the standard, and lead Seraphim Athletics with purpose.

“Mr. Williams brings more than twenty years of experience in higher education, athletic administration, football, and ministry. He has served as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Barber-Scotia College, and as Athletic Director at Atlantis University in Miami. At Atlantis he built the university’s first Athletics Policy and Procedures Manual, negotiated its first Adidas partnership, launched leadership programs for student-athletes, founded the “Red Talk” athletics podcast, and helped multiple programs reach postseason play, including a USCAA national championship appearance in men’s soccer and football’s first bowl appearance.

“He also served as President of the New South Athletic Conference (NSAC), our conference.

“Just as important for DBCU, he has spent years as Senior Assistant Pastor and Church Elder teaching, counseling, and developing leaders. That combination of athletic administration and pastoral care is the kind of leadership this department needs while we build.

“Student-athletes, coaches, families, and staff: join us in welcoming him to the Seraphim family.

“Go Seraphim.”
