DAYTONA BEACH, Fl. – The New South Athletic Conference is proud to announce Daytona Beach Christian University as a provisional member for the 2026-27 school year.

Founded in 2022, DBCU is a non-sectarian faith-based institution offering associates, bachelors, and master’s degrees just blocks from its historic namesake beachfront. This year, the Seraphim are offering intercollegiate baseball, men’s basketball, football, men’s soccer, and softball.

“We at Daytona Beach Christian University are deeply pleased and grateful to join the New South Athletic Conference this year,” said DBCU President Erika Ernst. “It is an honor to be surrounded by individuals of such high character; leaders, coaches, and student-athletes who share a commitment to excellence, integrity, and sportsmanship in competition.

We sincerely appreciate Commissioner Mike Davis for welcoming us into this fellowship and for his vision in building a conference that elevates institutions like DBCU. We look forward with great anticipation to growing into full membership of this extraordinary league, competing with purpose, building lasting relationships, and glorifying God through athletics.

Baseball coach Thomas Eaton echoed President Ernst’s sentiments: “On behalf of the Daytona Beach Christian University Baseball Team, we are excited to get the invitation on being a member to the New South Athletic Conference.”

“We have been in communication with President Ernst and her staff for more than a year now as we worked toward this moment,” added NSAC Commissioner Davis. “She and her colleagues have been thorough and gracious, and I hope they have found us to be likewise. The NSAC is more than pleased to welcome the Seraphim to the family, and we anticipate this being the beginning of a fruitful partnership for many years to come.”
