RALEIGH, N.C. — Elijah Green knocked down a three with 4:18 to play to push William Peace in front for the final time to edge out Mid‑Atlantic Christian 80‑78 in a tight Wednesday night nonconference matchup.
The Pacers leaned on a strong second half to pull away. Green led the way with 20 points and five rebounds, shooting 6‑12 from the floor and draining two 3‑pointers.
MACU (2-3) kept the pressure on throughout, with junior guard Keith Shakes Jr. posting 20 points on 9‑17 shooting. However, the Mustangs’ 20 percent clip from beyond the arc and 38 percent second‑half field goals hurt its chances.
There were five lead changes and six ties throughout the contest.
