NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – On a day where the senior class was recognized, the Apprentice School men’s basketball team took care of business against Maine-Fort Kent, 98-72, Saturday evening.
After trading baskets early, the Builders ran away, stretching the lead out to as many as 37 in the second half on the way to their seventh win over the past eight outings.
Jayden Eason and Karree Smith each put up a team-high 16 points on the game. Shawn Eley had 11. In total, 11 Builders ended the night in the scoring column shooting over 53 percent from the floor.
The Builders will play their final regular season home game on Wednesday as they host Mid-Atlantic Christian in an NSAC matchup. Tip time is 7 p.m.
